This allows the instructor to have full access to all papers while allowing TAs to grade papers as needed. Sections can be aligned to sections in the Penn State registration system or some other method such as an alphabetically ordered subset of students in a large-enrollment course. Unless a TA is an instructor of record of a section, the instructor of record must request accounts for their TAs.
Please allow one business day for requests to be processed. If you have created a standard class, it can be converted to a master class if the process is done relatively early in the semester. Once you have created a section, your TA will receive an e-mail message from Turnitin with instructions on how to log in. This can be done as follows. TAs can also send out a section ID and password to students to enable them to upload assignments into Turnitin. On the day that activation occurs, you can use the procedure below.
At this time, there can only be one TA per section. For large sections with multiple TAs, you can split the roster into sections according to student last names or teams and add just one TA.

Most instructor and student activity on Turnitin occurs within the class or classes created by an instructor.
The class is used by the instructor to organize students and student submissions into groups. A single class may be used for multiple courses, but is typically not recommended due to the additional challenges this can create in organization. A class and its assignments are fully available to the instructor between the date of the class creation and the selected expiration date. We recommend creating new classes each year, ensuring that inactive students from previous years are not counted against your student limit or causing an increasing build up of students which can impact the class performance.
Once a class has expired, the information and assignments in the class are viewable, but no new submissions or assignments may be made. The instructor is capable of extending the expired class to reactivate it. New classes should be created each semester or school year when a new group of students is in a course. You should not share your enrollment key publicly outside of your institution. With a Class ID and password anyone, at any institution, will be able to join your class.
